Frequently Asked Questions
How much does professional carpet cleaning actually cost?
It depends on square footage, how many rooms, and the condition of the carpet — heavy pet staining or ground-in soil takes more time than routine maintenance cleaning. We give a straight, written estimate before any work starts, based on what your space actually needs, not a generic per-room rate.
How long does carpet take to dry after cleaning?
With our hot-water extraction process, most carpet is dry to the touch within 4–6 hours and fully dry within 24 hours, depending on humidity, airflow and carpet thickness. We use high-powered extraction to pull out as much moisture as possible during the job itself, not just rely on air-drying afterward.
Can professional cleaning actually get rid of pet urine odor, or does it come back?
Surface cleaning alone often doesn’t — if urine has soaked into the padding or subfloor, the smell can return as the carpet reheats or gets humid. That’s why our pet odor treatment targets the affected layers directly with an enzyme-based treatment, not just a surface deodorizer sprayed on top.
Is professional carpet cleaning actually worth it, or can I just rent a machine?
Rental machines use less suction and often leave more moisture and soap residue behind, which can make carpet re-soil faster. Professional hot-water extraction pulls more water and dissolved soil out of the carpet, which is the difference you’ll usually notice in how the carpet looks and feels once it’s dry.
How often should carpets actually be professionally cleaned?
Most homes do well with cleaning every 12–18 months. Homes with pets, kids, light-colored carpet, or North Dakota winter mud and road salt tracked in from October through April usually need it closer to every 6–12 months to keep soil from building up in the fibers.
